My Go-To Winter Skincare Routine
Winter does the most for my skin, and by most I mean the worst. The cold weather makes my skin dry and cracked, and when you have oily combination skin like I do, add some acne into the picture too. I know I am not alone in the struggle for clear and hydrated skin, so without further ado, here is my winter skincare routine that has worked wonders for me and keeps my skin consistently clear and hydrated.

1. Face Wash
My go to face wash to keep my skin clean and acne under control is the Cerave Face Wash, it has salycilic acid as a main ingredient in it to make sure my pores stay small and my acne stays away.
2. Toner
For toner, I use the Paula’s Choice BHA Toner which also contains salycilic acid and removes any impurities that remain on my skin after I wash it. I usually apply this with a cotton round.
3. Serums
This is where things start to get hydrated. I use a squalene serum to put some hydration back in my skin without irritating it. The Ordinary Serum works wonders especially for combination skin such as mine.
The second serum I use to keep things hydrated is Cosrx Snail Mucin, I personally love this serum as it doesn’t leave an oily residue but rather sinks right into my skin, giving it a glazed donut finish.
4. Moisturizer
The Cosrx Moisturizer is a great way to finish off the hydration part of my skincare routine, especially at night. This locks in the moisture!
5. Spot Treatments
If you have acne-prone skin like I do, I have never found better acne patches than the Hero Cosmetics Acne Patches. Pop these on your blemishes before you go to sleep and your acne will shrink overnight.
